Job Summary
Responsible for providing mechanical engineering design, analysis, and technical support for Oil & Gas maintenance and construction projects. Ensures mechanical systems, equipment, and installations are engineered, executed, and maintained in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements to support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare, review, and approve mechanical engineering designs, drawings, and technical documents in accordance with project requirements.
· Perform mechanical calculations, equipment sizing, and stress analysis for piping and mechanical systems.
· Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
· Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and project procedures.
· Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues.
· Review vendor drawings, material submittals, and technical proposals for mechanical scope.
· Support site teams by providing engineering clarifications and solutions to construction challenges.
· Participate in inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment.
· Maintain accurate engineering documentation, reports, and records in line with company standards.
· Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, safety, and quality performance.
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles within Oil & Gas projects.
· Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, static and rotating equipment.
· Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
· Ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

Salary: R1mil + per annum, plus expat benefits (family status)
