Roles & Responsibilities
- Work under the management of PSS/GSAC and reported to site Superintendent in GSAC Directorate of Aircraft Maintenance in the Base.
- Performs repair and maintenance of ground support equipment.
- Solves repair or maintenance problems by studying layout drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams and technical instructions.
- Determines proper maintenance and repair procedures to correct defective or malfunctioning equipment
- Diagnoses recurring malfunctions and recommends corrective action by initiation of Material Deficiency Reports, proposed modifications or other prescribed means.
- Determines proper and suitable substitution of parts and components.
- Recommends revised policies or work methods to facilitate full training and use of personnel and equipment.
- Uses prescribed test sets to determine proper operation of equipment interprets findings and makes corrective adjustments.
- Inspects Equipment, Calibrations and scheduled/unscheduled repairs of GSE and related Components
- Performs GSE inspections.
- Inspects and operates powered and non-powered ground equipment, maintenance stands, jacks, towing units and related maintenance support equipment.
- Inventories and inspects GSE in accordance with applicable technical order procedures.
- Supervises the scheduled inspection of GSE (including daily inspection, weekly, monthly and calibrations) as per the laid down procedures and inspection cycles.
- Reviews maintenance forms, GSE records and reports to ensure complete documentation.
- Checks and adjusts tolerances of valves, bearings, cams, clutches, drive shafts and couplings.
- Operates and tests ground equipment for leakage, output, pressure, adjustment and freedom of operation.
- Performs corrosion control.
- Supervises Support Equipment Personnel
- Plans and schedules work assignments.
- Establishes work methods, production controls and performance standards.
- Orients newly assigned personnel.
- Assigns individual maintenance tasks to subordinates and establishes priorities for work accomplishment.
- Evaluates work performed in equipment maintenance activities in terms of compliance with directives, technical orders, work standards and operational policies.
- Troubleshoots and Diagnoses Support Equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctions, using visual and auditory sense, test equipment and applicable technical publications.
- Performs repair of equipment such as compressors, hydraulic/pneumatic sets, air conditioners, heaters and test stands
- Performs operator maintenance, servicing and inspection of hydraulic rigs, GPUs etc.
- Removes, tests, repairs or replaces components and accessories of GSE
- Conducts on-the-job training as a trainer. The GSE technicians are in charge of train the PSS/GSAC personnel on operating equipment through scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
The Ratio of Trainer to Trainees is (1:3) as maximum
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Minimum Diploma in Maintenance as an Electro-mechanic/ Mechanic or recognized aviation training program in Aircraft maintenance or GSE training program (Minimum 2 years).
- Minimum 5 years proven experience (Military or Civilian) as GSE technician. Provide a copy of the OJT log-book training on H145 Aircraft is preferred.
- Must have GSE course certificate and Train the trainer course certificate.
- English language level (listening, speaking, reading & writing) in minimum IELTS 5.0 or equivalent for Non-Native speaker. Otherwise, the English language will be evaluated in the interview by PSS/GSAC.
- Have working knowledge of office automation tools such as MS office

- Pass the security clearance from KSA government.
