Job Summary:
Responsible for preparing and reviewing detailed cost estimates for mechanical maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds, and brownfield works across downstream Oil & Gas facilities. Ensures all estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project requirements for tenders, proposals, and budget evaluations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for downstream Oil & Gas facilities (plants, terminals, utilities, and related assets).
- Review project scopes, engineering documents, drawings, and equipment data.
- Develop man-hour calculations, productivity rates, equipment requirements, and material take-offs for mechanical activities.
- Establish cost breakdown structures (CBS) and maintain updated pricing databases.
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and project teams to validate inputs and clarify assumptions.
- Participate in site visits, job walks, and scope verifications to ensure proper cost assessment.
- Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
- Conduct cost analysis, risk assessments, and pricing reviews as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in cost estimation for Oil & Gas works.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and maintenance scopes.
