Job Summary:
Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project costs for mechanical work within downstream Oil & Gas projects. Ensures accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting to support effective project decision-making and maintain project budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project cost control systems, procedures, and reporting tools.
- Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and cost variances.
- Prepare cost breakdown structures (CBS) and ensure alignment with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Track quantities, resources, and productivity to ensure accurate cost monitoring.
- Prepare periodic cost reports including actual vs. budget analysis, forecasts, and variance.
- Review subcontractor invoices, progress measurements, and material purchase records.
- Conduct cost trend analysis and identify potential overruns or risks.
- Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts and budget updates.
- Evaluate change orders, claims, and variations with respect to cost impact.
- Maintain accurate cost data, logs, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cost control for Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles, budgeting, forecasting, and cost monitoring.
- Familiarity with WBS, CBS, project schedules, and earned value management (EVM).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary project teams.
Location: Alkhobar, Saudi Arabia
Salary: R1mil cash per annum negotiable, plus expat benefits (family status)
