Requirements
 Qualified Professional Nurse
 At least five years relevant experience in a management position
 Registration with SANC and proof of indemnity cover are pre - requisites
 A pleasant disposition and excellent interpersonal/ communication skills are vital
 Excellent leadership abilities

Key outputs
 Manage the total quality of the nursing care of the hospital
 Manage the administrative policies, procedures and protocols that support the nursing services
 Manage Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and Risk principles
 Manage the HR practices for the nursing staff
 Ensure a positive working environment conducive to Continuous Professional Development
 Monitor staffing levels based on the departmental acuity levels
 Oversee the review and update of the nursing policies and procedures
 Oversee the adherence of all nursing statutory requirements
 Provide a daily hospital report
 Report all hospital issues to the Hospital Manager and the Executives
 Develop, implement and evaluate the nursing strategic plans and sub-unit strategic plans in correlation to the Group Business Plan
 Oversee a monthly clinical audit meeting with the Unit Managers
 Attend to ad hoc queries and meetings
